Help Boxer's PAC pick a Senate Challenger w/POLL

Barbara Boxer is back in our e-mail queues asking us to identify a Democratic Senate challenger for an injection of support. All the challengers (to a GOP incumbent, let's play nice) are listed. Oh, and Amy Klobuchar, campaigning to hold Dayton's open seat in MN, and Bernie Sanders, trying to hold Jeffords' seat for... well, for Vermonters, I guess.

Let's share our thinking, shall we?

My own impulse is to rule out all the long shots: Jean Hay Bright, Erik Fleming, Pete Ashdown, etc. (Hint: if you're trying to remember who Erik Fleming is running against, you're making my point for me.)

The names that loom up at me from the list are: Jon Tester, Claire McCaskill, Amy Klobuchar, Sherrod Brown.

I'm leaning against Sanders because he doesn't appear to need help; I'm leaning against Casey, who has led all along in the polls by comfortable margins. But maybe that's counting unhatched chickens.

Your thoughts?

Poll
Which is the best Senate contender?
Claire McCaskill, because the lead keeps switching in the polls and we NEED that pick-up
Jon Tester, because Burns has gotta go
Bob Casey, because no race is safe until the finish line
Amy Klobuchar, because if we lose even one Blue seat all our wicked plans will melt
Sherrod Brown, because we need the Ohio slate to sweep clean
Jim Webb
One of the Tier 2's: Jack Carter, Jim Pederson, Dale Groutage, Barbara Radnovsky, and I'll post to say which, and why
Harold Ford, because money he receives now (before the GOP primary) pays off better
Sheldon Whitehouse, for the same reason
One of the long shots, and I'll post to say which, and why
